DAYS: Is Sami a great liar or what?

I always hear things about Sami's character but I'm a new DAYS watcher (about three months or so) so sometimes I can't imagine it. The way she lied to EJ today about Rafe's behavior around the kids was pretty impressive. Especially since EJ knows his father created and monster and Sami has to practically walk on eggshells when she's around Rafe.
