Do I need to put masking tape on just primed walls?

They sell square flat brush with rollers that you hold against the side of the wall as you run it across the ceiling.You will hardly get anything on your walls,that's the best way to prevent that problem.I would not tape it as the paint usually gets under the tape.Good luck to you and take your time and it will come out great.
