See what my sister said to me? Was this an insult or a compliment?
My sister was talking to me the other day about the financial crisis. We have led different lives and are now in our 40s. I studied finance, concentrated on my career and held down pretty good jobs. I didn't date very much until in my 30s and never married. She on the other hand, didn't stick to her studies, dated loads, married and unfortunately divorced 2 years later. My mother always used to say she was extravagant. My aunt told me that she had confided in her that one of her big problems was that she was jealous of me. (I was shocked as she is more intelligent and is as pretty and popular as I am). Anyhow, we chatted about the financial crisis and she said to me 'You're smart, you were always tight'. Do you think this 'tight' comment was a compliment or an insult? Advice please as I'm kind of afraid of my sister even though we're adults, I feel like I'm walking on eggshells talking to her.
