Are Apostolic and Profetic Churches false if so why?

I have seen videos on you tube of faith healers and so called modernday prophets such as benny hinn be exposed of performing false prophecies and miracles. There is a church called el rey Jesus in miami florida where a man named Guillermo Maldonado calls himself an Apostle and I wanted to know if this man was a real apostle or a phony. If he is a true apostle is there anything in the bible or in christianity that says that it approves of modernday apostles or prophets. If he is a phony is there any evidence such as video footage that exposes him like benny hinn? Reason I ask is cus apostolic prophetic churches have been growing all over the U.S. and all of them seem to base there teachings on faith healing and prosperity which makes me suspicious. There all connected with benny hinn so it seems like a big money scam to me. I dont know maybe im wrong but maybe there are people out there better informed than me that can answer my question. There are four apostolic prophetic churches where I live but I dont know what to think of them. Are these churches legit or they just all a big scam that people should stay away from. Anybody?
